MMAmania.com has learned that Marcus Davis will finally fight stateside for the first time in more than two years when he takes on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 6 alum, Ben Saunders, in what promises to be a hard-hitting 170-pound showdown. “The Irish Hand Grenade” has been on the international circuit since a first round knockout win over Jason Tan at UFC 72: “Victory” in Belfast, Northern Ireland, back in June 2007. Since then he traveled to Birmingham, London (twice) and Newcastle, England; Dublin, Ireland; and Cologne, Germany, amassing a sold record (5-2) against stiff competition. However, it was his most recent split decision loss to Dan Hardy that perhaps stings the most. He and “The Outlaw” went at it for three full rounds, with Hardy landing the more powerful strikes and Davis seemingly controlling most of the action. It could have gone either way, but in the end the judges gave the nod to the Brit. He’ll likely be motivated more than ever to score a decisive win when he locks horns with “Killa B.”
