From MMA Madness: The long standing rumored bout between Shane Carwin and Cain Velasquez has been fueled since Velasquez defeated Cheick Kongo at UFC 99. The fight is looking to be closer to becoming a reality as sources close to the event confirmed to MMA Madness that the bout has been offered to both camps and is awaiting to be signed from each side for the UFC 104 card in Los Angeles on Oct. 24. Carwin also confirmed the fight on his Twitter earlier today, stating, "Looks like I'll be fighting October 24 in LA. Good to know" Advertisement: MMA Madness
